Stealth and Larger or Smaller Characters

Big things are harder to hide, and small things are harder to find. These rules reflect that. They're pretty simple, and will come into play for characters of notable size, such as large trolls, and small mechs or pixies.

Consider a basic height of 5 feet; Starting at that point, a character gets a +1bonus to their stealth rolls (for hiding or sneaking) each time their height is cut in half; thus at 2.5, 1.25, and 0.63 feet (7½ inches).

Conversely, each time 50% is added to a base of 5 feet, larger characters receive a -1 penalty to their stealth rolls, thus at 7.5, 11.25, and 16.88 feet.

Thus a pixie (which in this campaign range from 5-7 inches tall) gets +3 to its stealth rolls... as if they weren't sneaky enough. A troll would get a -1, and a 12 foot tall Mech would get a -2.

These modifiers also apply to Parkour tests to escape pursuit.

Other factors also effect the sneaking attempts of large and small characters. Larger characters may have trouble finding things to hide behind, while especially small ones could hide behind a jar of peanut butter. Large characters at least need never worry about being trapped in a peanut butter jar if captured however.
