Buying Successes

In this campaign characters can buy successes on a test by forgoing the rolling of dice, this is done by setting aside a number of dice equal to the TN of the test, or 4, whichever is greater. Any dice not set aside may still be rolled in an attempt to generate additional successes.

For open tests a character my set aside a number of dice equal to the TN they wish to generate. Any effect that would add a flat bonus to the roll, such as an aptitude, is then added.
